The Sustainable Business Solutions in Mid Wales: Minimising emissions and costs event, hosted by Growing Mid Wales, in partnership with Powys County Council and Ceredigion County Council, will take place on Monday 11th March. Kindly sponsored by the energy networks.
It will give you, Mid Wales businesses, the opportunity to come together and talk about what you need for the future to minimise your greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs. If you're a Ceredigion and Powys business considering your transition to net zero, come and join us at Bargoed Farm.
We will hear from a variety of speakers including the Regional Skills Partnership, National Grid Electricity Distribution, National Grid Electricity Transmission and Scottish Power Energy Networks.
Come and be inspired by other businesses that have faced similar challenges. You will have the opportunity to network and explore solutions which could help your business decarbonise.
Geraint Thomas will share Bargoed Farm’s own decarbonisation journey and provide a tour around the site to see the farm’s solar PV, battery storage, electric vehicle charging points, biofuel generators and baling machine for on-site recycling.
Information stalls from training providers (e.g. Coleg Sir Gar, Cambrian Training, NPTC) and other organisations (e.g. Business Wales, Severn Wye Energy Agency) will be available to offer advice, listen to the needs of the businesses, and the challenges they currently face.
Please note this event will be predominantly face to face however presentations will be live streamed.
