As part of a new series supporting SMEs on their journey to net zero, and the potential benefits they can gain from taking action, Business News Wales spoke to members of the SME Taskforce in Wales, to gather their insight.
Sue Husband, Director of BITC Cymru takes us through the practical reasons of why a journey to net zero is good for SMEs, as well as highlighting the support that is out there from larger business that have already made the steps to pave the way for smaller businesses to learn from.
With bigger businesses already building resilience and flexibility into their supply chains, as well as having teams built in to their businesses, there is a lot of knowledge and expertise out there.
With small businesses using around 45% of all energy use and contributing to around 20% green house gas emissions, the SME Task force know that there is a big opportunity within the SMEs to tackle this challenge.
