A collaborative programme is helping businesses embed Circular Economy principles into their operations.
Circular Economy Innovation Communities (CEIC) is a joint project by Cardiff Met University and Swansea University, funded by UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
It helps organisations in the Cardiff Capital and Swansea Bay regions to understand Circular Economy principles, as well as the practical steps they can take to create a more sustainable way of working.
In this digital discussion, Business News Wales editor Gemma Casey spoke to Dr Gary Walpole, Director, CEIC; Ruth Marie Mackrodt, Director, TRUEWOOL; Gareth Banks, Head of Sustainability, Orangebox and Eoin Bailey, UK Innovation Manager, Celsa UK.
The panel discussed how their businesses had implemented Circular Economy principles, the impact this has had, and how important it has been to customers and the supply chain.
CEIC’s fully funded programme gives organisations knowledge and tools to implement Circular Economy principles. It is recruiting now for autumn 2024. Find out more at https://ceicwales.org.uk/
