Adventure Tours UK, a tour operator which provides small group tours, self-guided holidays and corporate breaks have been certified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement.
The B Corp certification addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas; Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.
Recent attention on the tourism industry makes Adventure Tours UK’s BCorp certification a notable step, signalling a shift towards greater accountability and transparency.
Claire Copeman, Co-founder of Adventure Tours UK, spoke to Green Economy Wales to discuss the details of BCorp status and why businesses should aspire to achieve it.
Commenting on the recent accreditation, she said:
